10931 (2024). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister for the Public Service: What modelling, if any, has she done to determine what public services matter most to New Zealanders?

Hon Nicola Willis: I have not found it necessary to commission modelling on this, it is pretty obvious to me that New Zealanders value frontline public services including health, education and law and order. I think it would be wasteful to divert taxpayer-funded resources away from these services in order to develop "modelling" of the sort the Member describes.
