Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Health: What specific actions, if any, broken down by action taken and date, has the Minister done to prepare the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities or any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, to implement the National Fuel Plan since 28 February 2026?

Hon Simeon Brown: I have directed Health New Zealand and the Ministry of Health to be actively involved in, and ready to implement any guidance from, the All-of-Government response.  As a result, a range of actions are underway to ensure that New Zealanders continue to receive the care and support they need. One specific action that has already been taken is to provide timely, temporary, and targeted support for home and community support workers by providing a 30 per cent boost to mileage rates.
