10913 (2024). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister for Pacific Peoples: What plans, if any, are there to mitigate the impact of the Ministry for Pacific Peoples' workforce cuts on Pasifika communities, particularly regarding health, wellbeing, and support services?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that the Ministry for Pacific Peoples' role in championing the voices of Pacific communities within government, and funding programmes in the community that support improved Pacific community health and wellbeing, will continue despite its reduction in size. This includes remaining closely connected to Pacific communities throughout the country, with a number of regional engagement roles confirmed in its final structure.
