Hon Judith Collins: On Wednesday 25 March 2026, the National Fuel Plan was discussed during a meeting with Public Service Commission officials. On Thursday 26 March 2026, the Public Service Commission provided two short updates to my office titled ‘National Fuel Plan and working from home’ and ‘Mobility Hub Activation’ via the Commission’s regular reporting. Since Wednesday 25 March 2026, my office has received various updates, including responding to a request for media lines, and a verbal update via phone call, on the Public Sector Implementation Plan. The National Fuel Response Plan sets the overarching, phased framework for managing fuel supply risks across the economy, while the Public Sector Implementation Plan sits beneath it and translates those national settings into practical, coordinated expectations for how the public sector reduces demand, protects essential services, and adjusts activity if phases change.
