Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter October – December 2023 to ‘Develop partnerships with other government sectors to align with and leverage off large capital delivery programmes in other sectors’ under section 3.7 ‘Strengthening our system enablers’ within Te Whatu Ora’s Te Pae Tata: Interim New Zealand Health Plan 2022?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that, prior to its disestablishment, the Construction Sector Accord was the primary forum for Health New Zealand to discuss large capital delivery programmes with other government sectors. Health NZ is now hoping to use its Infrastructure Investment Plan as a catalyst and will look to the Infrastructure Commission to facilitate the government-wide discussions.
