Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter October – December 2023 to ‘With Iwi Māori and other stakeholders, co-design a framework for Te Whatu Ora’s approach to climate change, service resilience and environmental sustainability’ under section 3.7.4 ‘Action on climate change’ within Te Whatu Ora’s Te Pae Tata: Interim New Zealand Health Plan 2022?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that, due to competing priorities, this work was not progressed during the October – December 2023 quarter. I am further advised that Health New Zealand is currently considering what framework is necessary to support this work and how it is best developed.
