10796 (2024). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Police: When did Police first start using the Eagle helicopter to make sure that the public are not disrupted, intimidated or assaulted by these gang convoys?

Hon Mark Mitchell: The Member will have noticed the response to my expectations including the use of the Eagle helicopter to monitor and police gang convoys. The use of Eagle helicopter at gang events is not recorded with a dedicated police reporting code. The Eagle helicopter is deployed where an event is likely to generate unlawful activity and anti-social behaviour. It provides operational staff the opportunity to safely manage these events, provide real time intelligence and capture evidence often in a dynamic environment.
