10690 (2025). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister of Education: What advice, reports, briefings, aides-memoire, or any other documents, if any, has the Minister or any member of their Office seen about changes to the Holidays Act?

Hon Erica Stanford: The briefings I received from the Ministry of Education regarding changes to the Holidays Act are listed below: • 2 May 2024 – Briefing Note: Proposed Holidays Act reform: Employment (Leave Entitlements) Bill • 15 August 2024 – Information Update: Holidays Act Reform: Consultation Document for Targeted Consultation Cabinet paper, and Ministry schools’ payroll remediation update • 21 November 2024 - Briefing Note: Ministerial consultation on cabinet paper proposing next steps for Holidays Act reforms This answer does not cover members of my office who receive a large amount of material every week. Asking them to collate that material would require substantial collation and research and prevent them from undertaking their substantive roles.
