10666 (2024). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Associate Minister of Housing: What rate of house price increase does the Minister believe is acceptable?

Hon Tama Potaka: I believe we need a property market that is sustainable, affordable and accessible. To get there, the Government intends to deliver on its housing agenda which include the Going for Housing Growth programme to: unlock land in and at the edge of our cities, and build infrastructure to encourage more housing supply; deliver better social housing so people with genuine need get support from the right providers; and deliver building and construction changes to bring down prices of building materials.
