10538 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter October – December 2023 to ‘Develop whole-of-system pathways including for prevention, self-care, community and primary care and in hospital settings to achieve nationally-consistent, evidence-based care in the best setting for people and whānau for priority health needs’ under section 3.1 ‘Transition to transformation’ within Te Whatu Ora’s Te Pae Tata: Interim New Zealand Health Plan 2022?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the October - December 2023 quarter, sign off was given to the national Suspected Lung Cancer Pathway, which will lead to more timely access to diagnostics for high-risk symptomatic patients. I am further advised the national Bowel Screening Pathway completed its equity review phase.
