10531 (2025). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: When, if ever, was the Conveyance Allowance last adjusted; listed by when it was adjusted and by how much?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) that the school transport conveyance allowance was last increased in 1985. The per capita limit increased from $4.24 daily for an individual student to $4.72 daily for an individual student. The Ministry of Education last reviewed the Conveyance Allowance under the previous Government in 2018. No changes were made to eligibility or payment rates.
