Hon David Seymour: State schools that are looking to convert to the charter school model need to undertake a series of consultation activities before seeking final approval from the Charter School Authorisation Board. Following this approval, sponsors would then enter contract negotiations with the Charter School Agency, during which an opening date will be agreed.
