10505 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Defence: What board fee increases, if any, did the Minister approve between 1 October and 31 December 2025, by organisation?

Hon Judith Collins: The three boards set up under the Veterans’ Support Act 2014—the Veterans’ Entitlements Appeal Board (VEAB), the Veterans’ Health Advisory Panel (VHAP), and the Veterans’ Advisory Board (VAB) —were reassessed by officials in August 2025. This reassessment confirmed placement at the same levels as previously within Group 2 (the VEAB) and Group 4 (the VHAP and VAB). In November 2025, I approved the increase of fees paid to Board members in line with the updated Cabinet Fees Framework. The fee range (daily rate) for Group 2 bodies is between $415 and $990, and for Chairs the range is $525 to $1550. The fee range (daily rate) for Group 4 bodies is between $215 and $1240, and for Chairs it is between $295 and $1645.
