10502 (2025). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Associate Minister of Education: What, if anything, was the "manufacturing shortfall" that led to the School Lunch Collective sourcing lunches for the Ka Ora, Ka Ako programme from Australia?

Hon David Seymour: I am advised by the Ministry of Education that Libelle’s facility was not manufacturing the number of meals it was forecast to produce. Third party food manufacturers provided meals on the flexi-menu to allow Libelle’s manufacturing facility time to catch up and meet the meal production forecast. The School Lunch Collective is committed to making sure that 125,000 students receive a nutritious lunch every day.
