10458 (2025). Shanan Halbert to the Minister for Universities: What aides-mémoire, briefings, memos, notes, reports, or any other advice, if any, has the Minister or their Office received on the compulsory 'Waipapa Taumata Rau' courses at Auckland University, title and date received?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: This is an operational decision for the University of Auckland, and I acknowledge their academic freedom. My expectations are for quality teaching of quality subject matter that is relevant to the purpose of the course. I have asked and received further information about 'Waipapa Taumata Rau' courses from the University of Auckland.
