10422 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: What specific assurances did Cubic provide to NZTA regarding the National Ticketing System programme's continuity, if any, and were those assurances made in writing and legally binding?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised by the NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) that the contract with Cubic contains a range of clauses to provide assurance for both parties, and that the NZTA has utilised the terms of the contract. Cubic’s equity owners have assured NZTA that they stand behind the contract assurances.
