10420 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: What contingency plans, if any, does NZTA have prepared in the event Cubic is unable to complete the rollout of Motu Move to Wellington and Auckland by the agreed 2027 timelines?

Hon Chris Bishop: The NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) and the National Ticketing Solution (NTS) Programme (the Programme) is working with Cubic to introduce Motu Move later this year along with the roll out to other regions through to the end of 2027, to agreed timelines. NZTA and the Programme remain committed to delivering the NTS and have confidence that Cubic will deliver, noting the successful roll out in Christchurch.
