10344 (2024). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Associate Minister of Education: Does he have any plans to ensure Structured Literacy is implemented in the proposed Charter Schools; if not, why not?

Hon David Seymour: There will be no explicit requirement for Charter Schools | Kura Hourua to implement Structured Literacy. However, Charter Schools will be contracted to achieve student outcomes and therefore incentivised to use the best pedagogy available.
