Camilla Belich to the Minister for Trade and Investment: What new artificial intelligence or machine learning systems, tools, or platforms, if any, have been commissioned, contracted, or deployed by any department or entity for which the Minister is responsible since 27 November 2023, listed by system name, supplier, purpose, contract value, and date of commissioning?

Hon Todd McClay: I am advised New Zealand Trade and Enterprise has deployed Microsoft 365 Copilot (Microsoft) to all users to support workplace productivity, research and software development. The contract value is $325,000. The commissioning date was June–December 2025. I am also advised Invest NZ utilises the same software systems as New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, with costs allocated on a proportionate basis reflecting organisational scale and usage.
