10335 (2024). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Local Government: What financial guarantee, if any, will the Crown provide to Watercare for its Local Water Done Well model?

Hon Simeon Brown: The Government has been very clear that under Local Water Done Well the Crown will not be providing financial assistance to local government for the delivery of water services. Additionally, legislative settings will be extended to Watercare so that any loan contracts entered into by Watercare must include disclosures they are not guaranteed by the Crown.
