10295 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter October – December 2023 to ‘Build on a national Pacific community and lived experience engagement framework to include and embed diverse Pacific voices into the design, delivery and performance of the health system’ under section 1.1 ‘Valuing the voices of consumers and whanau’ within Te Whatu Ora’s Te Pae Tata: Interim New Zealand Health Plan 2022?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the October - December 2023 quarter, recruitment into Pacific Intelligence function of the Communications and Community Engagement Team continued. Other activity during the quarter included regional engagement with young people, rainbow communities, churches, and providers to help inform priorities for the National Diabetes Action Plan.
I am further advised during the quarter, regular Pacific community immunisation clinics (covering COVID, MMR, flu, antenatal boostrix) were held in the Hawke's Bay, which also targeted the Recognised Seasonal Employer (RSE) scheme community.
