10291 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter October – December 2023 to ‘Build a platform with the Ministry for Ethnic Communities - Te Tari Mātāwaka to include diverse ethnic voices in the design, delivery and performance of the health system’ under section 1.1 ‘Valuing the voices of consumers and whanau’ within Te Whatu Ora’s Te Pae Tata: Interim New Zealand Health Plan 2022?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the October-December 2023 quarter, Health New Zealand Waitematā Asian Health Services moved to the national Consumer Engagement and Whānau Voice team, and has been working with the Ministry for Ethnic Communities to agree a plan for including ethnic voices in Health NZ work.
