10286 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Police: What new artificial intelligence or machine learning systems, tools, or platforms, if any, have been commissioned, contracted, or deployed by any department or entity for which the Minister is responsible since 27 November 2023, listed by system name, supplier, purpose, contract value, and date of commissioning?
Hon Mark Mitchell: I refer the Member to the attached table, which shows systems, tools, or platforms that have been commissioned, contracted, or deployed at Police since 27 November 2023. I note that out of the four identified systems, one of which I do not believe is in the public interest to be released at this time. The Serious Fraud Office has commissioned, contracted, or deployed the following Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning systems, tools or platforms since 27 November 2023: • Intella Assist; Supplied by Vound; for Search and review electronic data obtained during the course of an investigation; no cost; to be commissioned April 2026; • AI Assisted App Development; Supplied by OpenAI; for developing bespoke applications to assist in SFO environment; cost of $1500; commissioned Jan 2026; • Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat; Supplied by Microsoft; for support and enhance use of Microsoft suite; no cost, included in existing package; commissioned April 2025; • Intella Predictive Coding; Supplied by Vound; for supporting investigations; no cost; commissioned pre-2020; • Whisper; Supplied by OpenAI; Translation; no cost; Commissioned in 2024; • Electronic Forensics; A range of existing vendors have added AI tools to Electronic Forensic software; for Image Categorisation and other purposes; no cost; not yet commissioned.
