10276 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter October – December 2023 to ‘Establish intelligence and insight leadership that ensures Te Ao Māori, Mātauranga Māori, Pacific and Tāngata Whaikaha | Disabled people’s world views are reflected in the use of health intelligence’ under section 1.4 ‘Strengthening the use of health insights and intelligence’ within Te Whatu Ora’s Te Pae Tata: Interim New Zealand Health Plan 2022?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the October – December 2023 quarter, progress was made with the Patient Profile NHI (PPNHI), including having budget funding approved in addition to an internal investment case.
The PPNHI project aims to provide mechanisms for disabled people to communicate their access requirements, so that these can be responded to well when health services are delivered.
