10273 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter October – December 2023 to ‘Reduce the impact of suicide on communities, including approaches consistent with mātauranga Māori, by accelerating the implementation of the Every Life Matters | He Tapu te Oranga o ia Tangata, Suicide Prevention Action Plan 2019-2024’ under section 2.1 ‘Pae ora Better health in our communities’ within Te Whatu Ora’s Te Pae Tata: Interim New Zealand Health Plan 2022?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the October 2023 - December 2023 quarter, a procurement process was run to find partners to design and deliver mental wellbeing and resiliency services for Rainbow communities. Four partners were appointed, and contracts agreed, which began on 1 January. There was also a direct procurement process with Asian Family Services to design and deliver a mental health and wellbeing resiliency service for the Asian community.
