10267 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Corrections: What advice, reports or information, if any, broken down by date and title, has the Minister or their office received regarding Diversity, Equity and Inclusion policies and practices prior to 07 March 2025?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I have not received or requested any advice, reports, or information from Corrections regarding Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) policies and practices prior to 7 March 2025. I am advised that reporting on DEI is prepared by the Public Service Commission, who compile annual reports from all agencies into a Ministerial Update. Corrections’ latest report can also be found on their website here: https://www.corrections.govt.nz/__data/assets/pdf_file/0017/61460/FINAL_IED_Update_Part_One_2024_v3.pdf. Corrections’ 2023/24 Annual Report also provides information on diversity, equity and inclusion and was proactively shared with me on 10 October 2024 before its public release. This is also my response to WPQ 10270 (2025).
