10266 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter October – December 2023 to ‘Provide education and resources to providers for the care of disabled parents and parents welcoming babies with impairments, aligned with the principles of Enabling Good Lives’ under section 2.2 ‘Kahu Taurima | Maternity and early years’ within Te Whatu Ora’s Te Pae Tata: Interim New Zealand Health Plan 2022?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the October – December 2023 quarter, the decision was taken to pause work on this action whilst the ‘whole-of-system’ design work within Kahu Taurima continues to progress. In the meantime, the focus continues to be on ensuring the delivery of Kahu Taurima care to all whānau, which aligns with the priorities of tāngata whaikaha/disabled peoples.
