10214 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: When, if at all, was he made aware that Health NZ awarded a $2 million contract to a UK-based company linked to John Bennett without advertising the contract?

Hon Simeon Brown: Our Government is focused on delivering timely, quality healthcare for all New Zealanders. My office was made aware on 10 March 2025 when Health New Zealand shared a media response containing this information. The procurement processes run by Health New Zealand is an operational matter, however, I have been advised that this contract was awarded in April 2023.
