10189 (2025). Shanan Halbert to the Minister of Police: Is the Rainbow community, relative to other identity groups such as Māori and women, the group most victimised by criminal offences?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that Police only collect data relating to Rainbow communities when a perceived offence is being committed due to prejudice towards Rainbow communities. Police does not record whether victims identify to a particular group.
