Hon Karen Chhour: Responsibilities for the provision of services and supports for children and young people sit across a range of government agencies. Oranga Tamariki cannot meet all the needs of children and young people it works with on its own. I often hear from social workers that they are spending a lot of time finding services and supports for children and young people which are the responsibility of other agencies, which takes them away from their core role and areas of expertise.
