10149 (2024). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Local Government: What councils, if any, is the Government currently engaging with around establishing new water services entities or council-controlled organisations?

Hon Simeon Brown: The Department of Internal Affairs has an ongoing role in relation to engagement with councils on a range of local government matters. This includes engagement with councils regarding Local Water Done Well, including any early discussions that councils may be having about possible future service delivery arrangements.
