10131 (2025). Benjamin Doyle to the Minister of Education: What is the process the minister or their office uses, if any, in order to process applications from public schools and kura to offer NCEA levels 1, 2, or 3?

Hon Erica Stanford: Schools, kura and other education organisations do not have to apply to offer NCEA. However, they do need to have consent to assess for any standards they wish to use for assessment towards the NCEAs. The process for applying for consent to assess standards is managed by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority.
