10042 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Prime Minister: How much, if anything, did the Minister's departments, if any, budget for Tesla Inc goods or services in the 2025 calendar year, and how much, if anything, has been spent so far this year?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: In my capacity as the Prime Minister, I am the Responsible Minister for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). The National Emergency Management Agency is a departmental agency hosted by DPMC. I am advised that DPMC has not purchased any goods or services from Tesla so far in the 2025 calendar year. I am advised that the budget for the 2024/25 financial year does not specify services or goods from Tesla. The budget for the 2025/26 financial year has not been finalised.
