Benjamin Doyle to the Minister of Internal Affairs: Has the Minister or their Office conducted any formal consultation with members of rainbow, takatāpui, trans, Muslim, or refugee communities in regards to the introduction of a new digital database designed to prevent the spread of illegal extremist content online, listed by group, method, and date of consultation.

Hon Brooke van Velden: No. The purpose of the ‘hash’ database is to identify illegal content quickly and is a preventative measure in keeping all our communities safe from this online harm.
