Camilla Belich to the Minister for Land Information: What staff engagement, morale, or culture surveys, if any, have been conducted by any department or entity for which the Minister is responsible since 27 November 2023, listed by department or entity, date conducted, the organisation that administered the survey if external, and the overall engagement or satisfaction score reported?

Hon Chris Penk: Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) has conducted one internally administered Culture Survey, completed in August 2024, and also participated in the Te Taunaki Public Service Census in March 2025, which was administered externally by the Public Service Commission. The Culture Survey was a non-compulsory internal survey designed to gather insights into current cultural levers within the organisation. It did not produce an overall engagement or satisfaction score. Te Taunaki Public Service Census collects system wide information from public servants, including questions related to engagement. However, it is not designed as an employee engagement survey. It does not provide agencies with an overall engagement score or an agency level satisfaction metric.
