10014 (2024). Hon Jan Tinetti to the Minister for the Public Service: What is the latest update on all pay equity claims?

Hon Nicola Willis: I am advised, there is one claim in local government, four claims in the public service, seven claims in the public education sector (two of which are at tertiary institutes), and 14 claims across organisations that are receiving public funding. These 26 claims are estimated to cover over 207,000 employees. One claim has been settled this year (2024) which covered therapists employed in schools and at the Ministry for Education.
