10011 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Health: How many complaints, if any, have been received about any catering, if any, provided by Compass Group or any of their associate brands such as Restaurant Associates, Medirest, ESS and Chartwells by Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora since 27 November 2023?

Hon Simeon Brown: Our Government is focused on delivering timely, quality healthcare for all New Zealanders. I am advised there have been 124 complaints received about catering provided by Compass Group or their associate brands. I note that Compass Group services an estimated 3.5-4 million meals a year in our hospitals, demonstrating the extensive scale of its service.
