Camilla Belich to the Minister for Māori Development: What communications, public relations, or reputation management contracts, if any, have been entered into by any department or entity for which the Minister is responsible since 27 November 2023, listed by department or entity, supplier, contract value, contract start date, and purpose?

Hon Tama Potaka: I refer the Member to the evidence provided by Te Puni Kōkiri to Māori Affairs Select Committee during its 2023/24 Annual Review, published on the Parliament website at Question 52, ( https://www3.parliament.nz/en/pb/sc/submissions-and-advice/document/54SCMAOC_EVI_26cef304-d16e-499e). I am advised by Te Puni Kōkiri that the information requested by categorisation will require substantial manual collation exercise and divert staff from their core duties. In accordance with Speaker’s Ruling 199/6, I consider that the time, and hence the expense, of answering this question in the timeframe allowed for written parliamentary questions, is not in the public interest.
