Hon Tama Potaka: I refer the Member to the evidence provided by Te Puni Kōkiri to Māori Affairs Select Committee during its 2023/24 Annual Review, published on the Parliament website Question 50, https://www3.parliament.nz/en/pb/sc/submissions-and-advice/document/54SCMAOC_EVI_26cef304-d16e-499e-9e77-08dcf4828bfe_MAOC1548/te-puni-k%C5%8Dkiri-responses-to-written-questions-1-210. I am advised by Te Puni Kōkiri that the information requested for financial year 2024/25, and any further categorisation will require substantial manual collation exercise and divert staff from their core duties. In accordance with Speaker’s Ruling 199/3, I consider that the time, and hence the expense, of answering this question in the timeframe allowed for written parliamentary questions, is not in the public interest.
