10000 (2024). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister for the Prevention of Family and Sexual Violence: In response to Reply 7450 (2024); What action, if any, has she taken to lead the whole-of- government approach to substantially prevent Family and Sexual Violence?

Hon Karen Chhour: I refer the member to my response to WPQ 9997 (2024), which notes that I oversee the government’s implementation of the national strategy, Te Aorerekura. One of the six key shifts of Te Aorerekura is towards investment in primary prevention to protect against family violence and sexual violence. Development of the second Action Plan is currently underway, which is the vehicle for driving collective efforts towards delivering measurable results across the shifts, alongside my priorities and government targets.
