9977 (2024). Rt Hon Chris Hipkins to the Prime Minister: When did he decide a more senior cabinet minister needed to hold the Media and Communications portfolio, and why not is that not Minister Lee?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: I made the decision to shift the Media and Communications portfolio to Hon Goldsmith to ensure we have a senior Cabinet Minister considering these issues. I considered the issue in the lead up to 24 April, when the changes were implemented.
