9961 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: What communications, public relations, or reputation management contracts, if any, have been entered into by any department or entity for which the Minister is responsible since 27 November 2023, listed by department or entity, supplier, contract value, contract start date, and purpose?
Rt Hon Winston Peters: I am advised that, for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, it is not possible to provide a comprehensive response to this question within the timeframe for Written Questions. Information relating to communication costs is publicly available in the Estimates and Annual Review Questionnaires on the Parliament website. I am further advised that the answer for the Asia New Zealand Foundation is nil. For Antarctica New Zealand, several communications related contracts have been entered into over this period: Within core business, a two year contract with Isentia (commencing 1 March 2025; NZ$16,758) provides media monitoring and infographic services. For the Scott Base Redevelopment project, SvG Limited was contracted from 27 February 2025 for NZ$25,000 to deliver a full market communications plan. On behalf of the Antarctic Science Platform, Antarctica New Zealand engaged Magpie Content Creation Ltd (1 February 2025; NZ$99,999) to develop a policy oriented Impact Portfolio summarising seven years of research. Additionally, an independent contractor was engaged from 23 April 2025 for part time social media advisory support (NZ$8,400), and Great Scott! 2016 Limited was contracted from 27 January 2026 for a Scott Base recruitment campaign (NZ$13,455). Antarctica New Zealand and the Antarctic Science Platform also contracted NIWA (1 December 2023; $15,000) to provide science communications and videography for the RV Laura Bassi Ross Sea voyage.
