9937 (2024). Hon Peeni Henare to the Minister of Health: Does he agree with his statement "I have had discussions regarding the future of the Hauora Māori Advisory Committee. I am retaining and powering up the HMAC", if so, what was the content of those discussions?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: Yes. I have stated that I see the Hauora Māori Advisory Committee as an important and independent Māori advisor to me, as the Minister of Health. This includes both advice I ask for and proactive advice offered by the Hauora Māori Advisory Committee.
