9910 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Customs: How much, if anything, did the Minister's departments, if any, budget for Tesla Inc goods or services in the 2025 calendar year, and how much, if anything, has been spent so far this year?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that the New Zealand Customs Service does not have a budget for Tesla Inc goods or services for the 2025 calendar year. As of 11 March 2025, Customs has not purchased any goods or services from Tesla Inc. The New Zealand Customs Service administers invoices and procurement as the servicing department and appropriation administrator for the Border Executive Board. The Border Executive Board has not spent or budgeted any money for Tesla.
