Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the last quarter (October - December 2023) to ‘Implement a data governance training programme’ under ‘Horizon One’ of the Data and Information Strategy for Health and Disability: Roadmap 2021-2024?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised during the October - December 2023 quarter, planning and scheduling was undertaken to review and further develop key components of data governance training specific to new technologies such as the National Data Platform. Health New Zealand already has mandatory training in place for people accessing sensitive data.
