Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the last quarter (October - December 2023) to ‘Develop and publish a health data and information sharing and accessibility framework’ under ‘Horizon One’ of the Data and Information Strategy for Health and Disability: Roadmap 2021-2024?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised during the October - December 2023 quarter, no progress was made on a health data and information sharing and accessibility framework. I am further advised, however, that work to develop such a framework has since started. The framework will centre on a collection of new and existing policies for data access and data sharing between Health NZ, Ministry of Health, and health sector organisations.
