9878 (2025). Hon Rachel Brooking to the Minister for Land Information: Will mining projects be specifically excluded from the accelerated land acquisition process proposed under the amendments to the Public Works Act?

Hon Chris Penk: The mining projects in Schedule 2 of the Fast-track Approvals Act are not public works. Land cannot be acquired under the Public Works Act for these projects. The accelerated land acquisition process will not change this.
