Camilla Belich to the Minister for Trade and Investment: What contractor or consultant engagements, if any, are currently active across any department or entity for which the Minister is responsible, where the individual contractor or consultant is being paid at a rate exceeding $200 per hour, listed by department or entity, role or engagement description, daily or hourly rate, and contract start date?

Hon Todd McClay: I am advised New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) has one contractor exceeding $200 an hour. The contract start date was October 2025. Further detail is not provided to protect the privacy of the individual’s privacy. I am advised that Invest NZ engaged one legal contractor at a rate exceeding $200 an hour since March 2026 to support the Active Investor Plus programme.
