9739 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for the Environment: What surveys of service quality, if any, have been conducted in the Minister's departments, if any, since 27 November 2023, listed by title and date?
Hon Penny Simmonds: I am advised that the following surveys of service quality have been commenced and/or completed by the Ministry for the Environment since 27 November 2023:
- Climate language testing (commenced 26 May 2024, completed July 2024)
- Adaptation Data System Stocktake (commenced September 2023, completed 18 March 2024)
- Public Sector Reputation Index Report 2024 (commenced April 2024, completed June 2024)
- Behavioural Trend Monitoring Survey with AK Research and Consulting Limited (commenced April 2024, completed 31 August 2024)
- Annual consumer awareness 2024 survey with The Research Agency (TRA) (commenced May 2024, completed 15 July 2024)
- Annual consumer awareness 2025 survey with The Research Agency (TRA) (commenced March 2025, to be completed June 2025)
- Public Sector Reputation Index Report 2025 (commenced April 2025, to be completed June 2025)
I am advised that the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) engages a provider to conduct its customer feedback service. Surveys since 27 November 2023 included Emissions Trading Scheme participants, people with compliance obligations, importers and manufacturers of hazardous substances, and participants in the EPA’s eDNA programme Wai Tuwhera o te Taiao.
The EPA cannot provide survey dates and titles as this feedback is regularly gathered following external interactions.
