Hon Phil Twyford to the Minister for Children: Does Oranga Tamariki maintain a register of accredited providers that the department or third party contractors can engage for service provision, and if so does that register include any subsidiaries of Destiny Church including Man Up and Legacy?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that they do not maintain a register of accredited providers. Te Kahui Kahu, the Social Sector Accreditation Agency keeps registers of all accredited providers. I am further advised Oranga Tamariki keeps a register of organisations approved under section 396 of the Oranga Tamariki Act 1989. I am also advised that there are no subsidiaries of Destiny Church on the section 396 register held by Oranga Tamariki, nor does Oranga Tamariki contract any subsidiaries of Destiny Church.
